Why almost all AVA machines come with a steel-reinforced hose
All AVA pressure washers – with the exception of the Easy series – come as standard with a steel-reinforced, rubber-coated hose. These hoses are designed to lie flat, provide maximum control, and offer a comfortable user experience.
Like all rubber hoses, they can be affected by frost and wear over time. If cracks occur that expose the steel reinforcement, the steel may rust and potentially lead to leaks in the worst case. This doesn’t make them unusual – it’s normal for this type of hose – and they still remain the best choice for a durable and comfortable user experience.
How long a hose can the machine handle?
Although machines are supplied with different hose lengths from the factory, you should choose extension hoses when replacing the hose:
- Master, Smart, and Easy: compatible with hoses up to 12 m on the reel
- Evolution: accommodates hoses up to 20 m
This means you can choose the length that best suits your needs. The hoses are delivered with a female-to-female connector at one end, allowing you to connect two hoses together. Before mounting the hose on the reel, this connector must be removed. You can find instructions for this here:

Do you have an AVA Easy?
The Easy series comes with a flexible hose without steel reinforcement. It is extra soft, handles frost better, and provides smooth handling. At very low temperatures, it may curl slightly.
Important to know:
- The flex hose only fits V3 models
- It cannot be used as an extension hose
- Prefer a steel-reinforced hose? The Easy works perfectly with a 12 m steel-reinforced hose
The flexi hose can be ordered from our online store:
